I am starting a 300 gallon saltwater pond in a 300 gallon rubermaid bin, and was looking for stocking ideas. If you have any please let me know. I would also like to have some native fish/corals from Florida.

A mangrove seems like an obvious addition. Seems native brackish species would be the best option as they should be able to handle temperature swings and changes in salinity when it rains better.

Not sure it’s exactly what you have in mind but I saw one of those Rubbermaid stock tanks set up at a LFS with a pair of stingrays and a few larger tangs and it was really cool to see. Worked well for the rays with round enclosure and sand on bottom.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
