Hey guys!

New reefer here. I got a 30g long that i got my hands on. I want to have a section of anemone but i heard they can kill other corals. Is there any partition i can put in the tank so I don’t have to set up a smaller tank just for anemone?

I used to use think filter foam pads when I was breeding freshwater shrimp by color, but I feel like that would look pretty bad in a reef tank 😂 any plexiglass inserts that would do the job? I want my fish to be able to swim through just want to separate the anemones

I had a 20g tank with an anemone and never had issues! Many of us keep mixed reefs with anemones in tanks that size.

My anemone constantly stray and move around. Having a sandbed to separate their rock from the other rocks helps. But it is no guarantee. Be sure to invest in anemone guards for your powerheads.
