So today was a big day. Been about 3 weeks since my last water change. Everything is looking good. My sump needed a lil det. Removal, and my qt needed to be reset i bathed in vinegar 3 days ago and reset today with 50 percent dt water and 50 new mix salinity is at about 1.024-1.025(34 in my refracto) also cut a peice off of a seeded sponge i keep in my sump. I will ghost feed everyother day until i get my fish to add. My lfs has a few good looking midas blennies and a couple fat mandarins. I havent tryed to qt a mandarin yet, any suggestions? All corals and fish are looking good.

Any way i got her at my lfs where she has been for about 3-4 weeks. i am in the store at least once a week. so i took the leap last night and brought her home with 2 packs of pods since i buy those 2 times a month for idk year and half. tank is full of pods. hope i can keep her full. here are some pix of her this am. She is hunting like crazy and the tomini leaves her alone.

Quick update i just bought a wav starter kit from @midtnmike41, I installed today and wow these things are powerful. Anyone have any suggestions on settings? I have high of 20 percent and its almost too much. Kinda mimicked the original that was set when i hooked it up just at a smaller scale. Low of 2 percent at midnight. Ill post a pic of setup later.

Ps thank you @midtnmike41

I put one one the side going the length of the tank and the other on the back wall pointed at the front glass to break up the flow on the other side. Both pointed slightly up so I would not get a sandstorm. Just try different spots you will find what your tank likes.

My tank is set up as a peninsula. I decided to just use one power head and keep it at like 2 percent. And 1 percent at night. Wow so powerful. The one gives me a good sway all over the tank. My overflow box is on a short side and i placed the power head under it in the corner of the long side pointing up and slightly down the aquarium to get a nice bounce. So far so good. Im gonna watch it for a couple of days and see how everything reacts. JFYI this replaced 4 smaller powerheads.

I tried to not overload on corals this year but i think i got 1 ir 2 too many we will see everytging is still looking good for the most part. One of my acans is a lil on the skeletal side. Update all tests good alk 11.2, calcium. 463, nitrates high around 25. Phosphate low. Not very good at color on that one. Gotta save for hanna phosphate checker now. Alk and calc. Both hanna nitrate is redsea.

Sorry about the truck.

I like the skull GSP "hair."

I'm curious... how did you find out your floors wouldn't support the 220? It seems like that would have either been something you knew before starting or would have been a rather dramatic realization. I hope it was the former.

The skull is from my gf. Its cool. As for the 220. I had thought ot maybe a lil too big but i was stubborn. Set it up and had it running for 6 months and started to have issues with my door opening. Uh oh. Cntr of my place near door was sinking. I removed 220 and left the sump inplace and then put the 50g. Plumbed to the 220 sump and complete filter system. Then i continued to get under the building with a 2ton jack and relevel the floor. My door still sticks but its much better. Someday i will be able to get my BIG aquarium until then im thinking 150 will be most i would push. Possibly after i get a new truck i maybe able to upgrade.
