Depends on what you want. The xr30 will work, but you would need to mount the unit higher up, say 12" or more to get a 36" spread. With two xr15, getting a 36" spread isn't a problem but you have to mount two units, which you may not want aesthetically. Personally, I think having two individual units is more flexible and the route I would choose.
Two xr15s are the much better option IMO, for better spread and coverage. In addition, with the xr15s, the fans will shut off when the lights shut off. The xr30s fans stay on 24/7 which some people find quite annoying.
