Hello 😃
I'm looking for light box for my reef 36x22x22" SPS dominated.
What about two Nicrew Gen2 150W with optional controller ? Is in my budget and i can buy them easily on amazon

Do you think need to set all chans at 100%?
Sorry, but i've been out of reefing, my last tank was 15y ago with T5 (can't buy/find T5 in europe anymore...)...

75 gallon tank, 4watts/gallon would be your 300W.
Going up to 200w each nicrew is about $160 US difference here.
Old version I'd not expect the new 150 to be less.

Also they just bumped the price back up. Looking at the Amazon price history.

If you wait a little bit I bet you could get the 200w for the same price as the 150w is now

Isn't the 2×150W version enough? From what i understand i'm not gonna run it at 100%, right ?

Here in Italy, the price difference is about €100 (150W vs 200)W per light (around $115), so about €200 for the pair. It would be great to save that €200 😅

Yes it's most likely enough.

The 200w would just give you a little more spread (3 pucks each light vs 2) and a little extra headroom so you didn't have to run them so close to 100%

That said. It is a decent price jump. Id be comfortable going with 2 of the 150w and being happy

Thank you so much !

I'm gonna start with montipora, stylophora, seriatopora, pocillopora. Have you any suggest for perc of channels?
Because i think to be close at 100% (or almost) is for acropora

for fun let's see what AI says...
Intensity Scaling: For an SPS-dominant layout, aim to ramp blue channels higher (e.g., 30%–55%+) and keep white/warm channels low (10%–15%) to emulate a popular Radion AB+ style spectrum, adjusting slowly with a PAR meter to hit 200–350 PAR at the top rockwork. [1, 2]

I personally use about 100 of the watts on my tank

I like 75 violet/uv - 75 blue - 35 whites - 15 Green - 15 red. (I think)

I'll verify later but that's close
