Lookin good! Glad I'm not the only nerd to place my tank alongside my computer desk lol. I'm on my first reef too.
Oh I've had lots of people on the pc side of things complaining about how I have my $3,500 computer right next to a reef tank. I dont think they understand I have just that much in the reef next to it... hahaha. You are most definitely not alone friend. This is my permanent desk tank. I was going to do a 10g cube or even a pico reef for my desk tank because I spend so much time there being a cad drafter and going to school for engineering. I just said the hell with it and went for a decent sized system. Peninsula. I would've gone bigger if the space next to my desk would have been available. But I like it for now. Thanks for the kind words as well! Unfortunately some of those photos were taken during a battle with dinoflagellates, and before I had 14 frags in the tank. It looks alot better now. I'll update the thread when the corals start thriving. I recently decided to upgrade from a black box to an ai prime to avoid the hot spots because I do only Lps. Slowly it is getting better (and more expensive... lol)

Yeah non-reefers wouldn't get it or understand just how much money gets thrown into a tank. The peninsula looks great. It's a fun idea and makes me wish I had researched unique aquascaping ideas before I built mine. Placing mine next to the computer has been a double edged sword. The extra workspace makes testing and such very convenient. However, on zoom my college professor has had to ask why I'm glowing blue and always staring off to the side lol. I could spend all day staring into my tank.

Oh my god... you just described every zoom call I've been on. Then of course when the class is a little behind and I've worked ahead, I'll play some brs videos in the backround, or play a light game. Again, what am I looking at, why am I glowing blue, why does it look like I'm next to a pool... hahahaha. And thank you friend. I do love the peninsula. It offers it's own unique challenges with flow and what not, but I think it fits into my little workstation well.
