Hello everyone, As you all know that i have a 40g breeder reef tank starting. It was started on June 1st. The main question is, should i get 3 blue/green chromis or a dwarf flame angel or what do you all recommend?

The fish stock list is;

2 clown
2banngie cardinals
1 goby

coral list is;

1 green torch
1 duncan
1 candy cane
1 tube worm
1 green star polyp a mate.
1 other coral i dont know the name of it ; its a sps i know of.

The flame may pick at corals.. they will pick at the liverock, and are very active. My experience with chromis is that they hide if you have lots of active fish. I had both, and my flame leaves my corals alone as far as I can tell.

I would think the angel might nip your corals, and the chromi will have a battle royale in a tank that small with so many of them.

Look into the Basslets instead of the Angel & Chromis. I recently purchased a Swalesi Swissgaurd Basslet for my 40B. Man this fish is beautiful! The rest of my list plans are 2x Bangi and 1 Rainford Goby.
