Hi all am just building a sump for my new build and can’t decide in the last chamber if it’s worth putting a small refugium in it would only be 5” wide and would only leave me 5 “ for 2 pumps one will be for my main display and one for my manifold . Would it be worth doing or should I try and run a separate refugium? I was trying to keep it all together . It’s a 40g breeder tank would like a little help deciding

No idea how much room u need for pumps, but if you can manage it i would put it in there. Lot of cheato can grow in that 5" wide section. I would use an acrylic that is not transparent to prevent light from causing algae growth in the return section.

Could you go with a bigger pump and t it off? That being said I have enough room in my return section for 2 pumps and I have a massive fuge section.
