Started treating for algae... never had to use chemicals before in past tanks.

I feel bad for the animals in your tank, honestly. I mean, there's "takin it easy" and just plain old "I'm too lazy to do anything for the welfare of my animals".

I'm sorry if this comes across harsh but you had/have some really beautiful pieces in there and some stunning fish and you've doomed them all.

That Flux stuff is not going to help you, it might kill off what's already grown out, but there's a much deeper problem here that you can't solve with chemicals, you almost need to pull everything out and give it a thorough scrub with a hard brush and start again.

It might not be too late to save all of that amazing life you have in there.

This is just moon lights, but you can already see a difference. My fish a very fat. And look for food everytime im by the tank. The main problem is keeping the eel fed which makes for lots of algae. Never have i had so much nor have i needed to resort to chemicals to fix the problem.

Getting ready for siphoning out the dead algae. Was going to donit last sunday, but i hurt my back. Going to see what comes out sunday. Ive got one of the hygger things that puts the water right back into the tank... but im going to use it to run the water from a bucket to the tank as i siphon. That way i can get the crap out and put the water back in without diluting the algae treatment.

Week 1 almost done.
