I'm trying to use a 40gal breeder tank as a sump
Can I remove the black bracing. Or keep it on. Second any pictures of breeder sumps I can refer to as ideas for mine.

I wouldn't personally remove the brace, especially for a sump.

I used a 40 breeder for my sump (switched from 90 gallon), and I'm very happy with it. Here's my initial diagram. I went with an additional tank for a refugium. I didn't go with the extra baffle labeled "Any Value?".

Here's how it ended up.

Thank you

I'd keep it on, even if the tank can do with out it. The rim allows you to easily cover parts of the sump inexpensively.

IF YOU HAD TO OPERATE EVERYTHING ELSE MANUALLY, WHICH AUTOMATED SYSTEM WOULD YOU KEEP?
