45 Gallon Mixed Reef

Few months in with my 45 gallon. Can’t say I’ve ever made a build thread but thought it would be nice to see my tank grow and have y’all shoot some pointers my way. Have a hydra 32 and Nero 3 heads. Last tank I had years ago I ran power compacts. Gotta love technology. Have a mix of softies and LPS. I think I rushed into a couple SPS. Remains to be seen…..
As I am typing this I can feel the boos about to come my way. I’m running an FX4 canister filter. Lol go easy on me. I’ve gutted most of the actual filters in it and am using it mainly for media. I do clean it every week and as of yet have not had any problems with nitrates. That’s about all I have for now but will keep updating as she ages.

I'd say that you are doing pretty well so far. The brown in the sand is diatoms. It's part of the uglies ... so long as it does not turn to snot (i.e. dinos), you are doing great! That's a good looking aquascape. Keep up the good work!
I'm going to bail out of here before the Tang Police show up though.... LOL
