I broke down my 300g and sold it, too much for me I saved a lot of things from it and kept all the live rock and sand alive in another tank I had so I figured why not get myself a nice AIO...so here we are.

Setup :

45g JBJ
250 watt 14k MH with 2 165w LED fixtures adding only blues
Tunze 9004
added 2 spin stream nozzles
Ecotech MP10 QD
Tunze 6040 - May take this down a lot of flow combined with the MP10
Tunze ATO utilizing the Tunze 5074 Calcium Dispenser

Livestock :

Went a little heavy on the fish, I want a busy tank though.

Mated pair of Potters
Mated pair of Orange Spot Gobies with tiger shrimp
1 Firefish
1 Bartlett Anthias
1 CBB
Fire Shrimp
2 Halloween Hermits
White Spot Fromia Starfish
2 Conchs

So far I have about 12 SPS frags and 5 LPS - will be adding more soon.

Nice love the scape.

The stock pumps in this tank do not turn it over quickly enough for me, I am in the process of changing them out for Cobolt mj1200 gph of 295 vs the stock pumps, gph is 266. This conversion worked well in my JBJ RL 30, I have since upgraded to the 45 and too much head pressure, so I am going to make the same change.

I am using the Tunze 6040 and the Mp10QD in the 45, going to make the move to sps so I think the flow is a good balance.

Following. :)

Why don't you add a sump to it like I did mine? See my videos in my sig

Thanks for the reply I will go ahead leave the two pumps in there if it's working for you. I saw in marine depots you tube video on this tank they switch out the two pumps as well for one bigger one. I think I may do the same. Very helpful information thanks again!

Thank you very much! Just need these corals to take off now.

Do you use a reactor of any sort to keep your nutrients down or do you just stay on top of water changes? If you do use a reactor which one do you use?

Nope, just RO/DI and at least bi-monthly wc, and I no longer feed frozen, it was adding too many nutrients. You're going to have to feed more then me though.

I feed freeze dried Blackworms, not sure how that compares to frozen. With the heavy stocking I will have to be on top of the water changes. Oh well its worth it! Thanks for the help Tahoe

I use water changes. I only have about 16 corals combo of everything and everything is small except for the Kenya trees and a alvepora. I was dosing NO3/POX but did away with it when I quadrupled my cheato

I've watched a lot of them Bob, really nice looking tank. I like what you did with the sump I will definitely be referring to your video if I decide to put one in.

well my blue spot managed to jump even with a lid. I have no idea how he got out. He literally had to jump over and over until he found a sliver he could fit through. Then my acro colony decided to RTN, not sure why when all the sps frags are doing well. Other then that no issues progressing nicely, have a dozen more frags coming tomorrow.
