I think this is as tidy as I'm going to get the wiring while I'm setting the tank up. When I'm comfortable that everything is running well I'll clean it up with some sleeves.

H160 is bright . Instead of using the clamp/bracket to attach the light to the sump, I attached the mounting base to the aluminum stand frame. Now I can swivel the light wherever I want without worry about yanking on the acrylic sump.

Deltec 600i is quiet, as close to silent as any skimmer I've had. All I can hear is the air draw. The Syncra pro is the loudest part of the system, and it's still fairly quiet. Silicone pad on the way to see if that lessens the slight vibration.

Will be following along, hope to have a LARGE Gaston built tank in a year and half or so. Tank is looking great and the skin is impressive.

Thanks! He delivered my tank and had a 4 x 8 x 1 frag tank with him. It'd sure be nice to have a bigger tank, but I'm restricted on size as this tank is in an upstairs office/den/the only room of the house that the family hasn't taken over.

I understand, we have to add onto our home before I order mine. The wife will get a bigger kitchen and bigger back porch and I get a tank and fish room. When I do though, it will be 350 plus.

Got to do what you got to do, it's a nice build. My wife would probably prefer we add on and I stick to something much smaller. Looks like you are going all out with it, it's going to be nice.

Thanks! This is supposed to be my last build, so I figured I'd take my time and go as nice as I could budget.

First attempt at an aquascape:

Tidied up the wiring, found a 3 pack of cord organizer boxes on Amazon. All the power supply bricks fit in the large one outside the stand, the extra wiring inside the small box.

I may try to hide the ATO reservoir, but this works for now.

I have that same exact light strip on my red sea 250 however, i connected it using a proximity sensor that makes it come on as soon as the door is opened. So much nicer

I thought I had ordered a light with this, but I guess I ordered one with a dimmer. Nice to know there's an option to add it later.

The tank is in my home office, keeping it quiet is a priority.

I'm shocked how quiet the Reef Breeders Photon V2 is, the fans only run as needed so it's silent part of the time. When the fans do turn on, they are quieter than my laptop fan.

Deltec 600i only makes a slight air draw, almost like the white noise in an office. Reef Synergy TS 26 is silent, I have the baffle between the fuge and skimmer adjusted so the flow over the baffle is a trickle. Overflow box is silent as well with the Bean Animal drain. 6095s don't make a sound either!

Overall, this is the quietest tank I've had, I'm very pleased with how everything is working. The loudest things about the tank are the occasional splash from the powerheads, and the Apex relays clicking!

I hate a loud setup. I spend a lot of time making sure it's quiet when I do a build.
