Some more progress I made. The tank is stocked as the water has been cycled and I used the sump from another system I disassembled in place of this tank. The left side of the underneath is still bare as I plan to put another tank there as a freshwater reservoir and the 2 HOB skimmers (behind pikachu) are just because I had them on hand, may get a full size skimmer later on but I quite like those skimmers.
To anyone trying to make anemone guards this is personally what I’ve done. Just got some really cheap pond pre-filters and cut the inside a bit to make them stretch over my waveheads. But any kind of circular or cylindrical pump should work. Also did a nem guard for my Jebao gyre but not too sure if I actually like it so I won’t attach that unless someone else actually wanted that (but you can also see it on the side of the tank). But these guards are great if you don’t mind the kinda bulky size since they’re very porous so they don’t clog for quite some time, maybe cleaned them 1 time in the past 3 months and that’s because a pump failed and I figured might as well.
