Hello Peeps,

This 50 gallon Nem tank has been up for a little over a year. There are about 28 Nems in this tank and all doing pretty well. However I have only had 3 or 4 splits so far. All Nems look healthy and water quality is pretty good. Due to high load I change about 50% of the water every 2-3 weeks. Temp is 78.5 (was told this helps for coralline) and salinity at 1.026. Running carbon and phosban and skim wet. Have 2 MP-10's running at 70%. Vectra M-1 pump running at 33%. Feeding them table shrimp every 3-4 days and each and every one eats well. I tried Reef Roids but this created a breakout of green hair algea so that was stopped. Lighting is AI Hydra 26 and run 12 hours blue ramping up over 5 hours to 65%, full intensity for 2 hours and back down for 5. I have my whites on same schedule but up to 20%. I don't use green, red or UV. All settings I am using were simple guesses from a beginning Reefer. Cant seem to find much about AI's and anemones however what I am using is pretty good so far. Wondering what suggestions you guys have in making this tank more successful in any of the areas mentioned above.

This is what i run hydra 26hd on a 50 gallon sca nem tank. Might raise the whites a bit maybe 35 % but not much more.

My tank is also SCA. I was told by a guy at the LFS to never go over 20 on cool white? Not true I assume? I do have a hair algae problem so I am about to hit it with Dino X starting tomorrow. Do you notice more algae growth with the red and green at 10%?

No i run red and green on my 52s over the 120 as well. I do have a lawn mower blenny that keeps most algae in check.
The whites are very powerful on these lights...that setting produces almost 300 par at the top using my apex . I wouldnt go much higher with the whites.
On a side note ...i used the same topoff container...2 gals seemed to go too fast so i used ro tubing to connect 2 of them.together now it holds 4 gals .
