I couldn't resist. I'm setting up a frag tank! Follow along to see how it goes. Feel free to comment suggestions, likes, etc. Enjoy!

Starting with a Zoo Med 50g low boy frag tank. 24" x 48" x 10"
Step 1. It's a new tank so I must put holes in it! Lol

Was it easy to drill the tank? I'm going to purchase 2 of the low boy tanks. I found them for $77/ea with free shipping. Can't pass it up! I've never drilled a tank before. So I'm buying 2 tanks just in case

Hey dsnakes I see you are from the outterbanks. Where is the closest lfs in your area. My wife and I love visiting the outter banks. I can't find a lfs when we visit. By the way I'm following your build. Please keep the pictures coming.

This is where I found the tanks. I am trying to decide if it's too good to be true. Can't find much info on the website or reviews.

The one LFS here was Island Pet Gallery and he just closed up shop. The next closest would be Fish Fish Fish in Plymouth, NC or up in Chesapeake, VA area... :(

I know about pet gallery, I was there their final weekend. I think the owner ran the business into the ground. I went to the pup daddy site. Let me know what you find out about them.

Ya. They are easy to drill. Get a bit from Bulk Reef Supply they are inexpensive and work great. Make sure you support the underside with a piece of wood so you don't splinter the edges when you break through. Use water to keep it cool. Go slow

While working in the stand I realized I need to add some vents. It got hot in there.

Love that stain color. Very rich looking. I'm new to hobby. Working on first saltwater. Corals have my interest though. green thumb of the sea I call it. Can't wait to see more.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
