What is that?

You’re looking at the foot of a money cowrie from (it’s perspective) underneath it. The lights are off and I was likely shining a light in or had the room lights on.

For some reason my cowries mantle looks smoother during the day (the frillly stuff is their branched papillae that I can’t make out much in the day). Maybe they don’t extend their mantle over their shell as much; or I’m just selectively blind.

Anyways flash forward to today and having a QT now, the clownfish are both in there being treated. Our naked ocellaris was displaying ich and the snowflake’s tailfin was kind of along the same line. The display tank will now remain fishless for a good several weeks and maybe give the oncoming uglies a reprieve.

Cost is a big thing, which is why everything’s been piecemeal. I didn’t really think I had the means for another tank (til I found such a used steal!), especially after spending a grand on my light fixture alone. That was a huge hit for me lol.

Me too this tank had a ripping seam and I did an emergency upgrade. When I moved this tank, I found my missing storm clown dried up. When I added naked clown to new tank… he died that day.

Apologies I have to update my thread link… not that it’s much different or I have anything in the new one. This one missed a couple updates as well.

Hero vertical seam bout to have me buying a new tank and stand

And pictures didn’t show the bowing in the seam at all. Haha It’s subtle, but visible at the bottom! — I just squared up the image and dropped a framing line to confirm that I wasn’t crazy!

75gal mixed?

Thanks to a ripping seam on my 55 we added a few inches on width to a 75 upgrade. This will serve as new tank thread. Taken in blue half if photo period.
