Sunday was spent waiting for the tank water to clear. As I said, it was taking longer than I expected, but the fish were good in the old tank. Here’s how the tank looked Sunday evening from the front and side. Looks good from the front but still pretty cloudy from the side.

Monday morning and it still wasn’t completely clear, but I decided close enough. I didn’t start on it until afternoon though, after a busy day of stuff. I was tired so didn’t take the care I should have and just ended up dumping everyone in. Everyone seems to be doing well though. The only fish I haven’t seen is my firefish and he is super shy anyway (once I put them back in the old tank he did not come out the entire time but was fine when I found him for the transfer). Putting in the old rock clouded up the water again.

On Monday evening, I got the chaeto setup in the fuge and set up the skimmer. The skimmer is going nuts which I did expect, but perhaps underestimated.

Todays goal is to get power heads in and running and get the hood and lights on. After that point, I think I jest need dosing pumps and ATO set up.

Ok, I got the power heads in and the hood and lights set up! I mounted 2 Radion XR15 Pros in the canopy. I bought aluminum t-channel and screwed it into the hood then hung the lights via screws and washers in the channels.

Will probably make more tweaks to the light settings (I prefer more white than many do), but here are my views. I view it from the side from my spot on the couch.

I got ambitious tonight and set up my dosing pumps. I bought new containers but of course can’t find the stickers I bought to label them. They’ll turn up eventually…

my calcium pump is pulling some air so my dosing will be off. I think it’s because I didn’t have enough to really fill the container. I’ll have to order more and hope that fixes it.

All the livestock has been in for just over a week now. Everyone is doing very well - no casualties! My corals seem happy too, except for my hammer. It seems fine just not as expanded as normal. I’m guessing it’s a flow issue so I’ll have to play with it more.

Made a trip to my LFS today and picked up a couple of beauties. A tomini tang (that’s good in his mouth, not an injury) and an exquisite wrasse. They’re still settling in but seem good. My angel was a little domineering at first but he seems to have settled down too. Also grabbed some blue knuckle hermits.
