I have a 6105 pump that has been in operation for a few years now, when I press the feed button, after the required 10 minutes the pump fails to turn back on. If i turn the power off completely, after 5 or maybe 10 tries of turning it back on it will restart. Do in need to replace the controller? or maybe the power supply?

Thank You

The button may be stuck. I would open the controller and with dry hands try with the membrane cover off, the membrane keypad can deflect if it was used very often over an extended time and hold the button down. Leaving the screws a half turn or so loose will usually solve this. This time delay is not exact, it can range from about 8 minutes to 12 minutes.

Otherwise, as Orko said, a pump that is partially jammed will struggle to restart and that is a prime culprit, proper cleaning requires that the drive unit is removed before soaking in vinegar, the clearance between the shaft and drive unit is so tight that soaking without disassembly does virtually nothing.

Well... I did both solutions and the pump is running again. I suspect removing the cover had more of an impact since there was almost no noticeable calcareous build up. Thanks for the help!
