Hi guys I have a opportunity to get a maxima clam for $20, my tanks are in the basement so they run a lower than preferred but STABLE 7.9 ph, other than that my tank is within the safe ranges listed for maxima clams. Would this ph be detrimental to a maxima or do you think it would be worth a shot? all my coral are happy except for hairy mushrooms I can’t do those in any tank for some reason.

the ph is fine but the light is the most important, it needs way stronger lighting than mushroom does. If your light puts out more than 300 par then go for it, $20 is amazing price.

Its a good light, I think so but I'm not familiar with it to be honest so I can't say for sure. Good luck

I think it’s putting about 150-200 par where I plan on putting the clam, however it’s only on 35% power with no whites at all so I’m hopeful of reaching 400-450 par with the blade over my 20 gallon long.
