Thought i'd make some simple 7" filter cups. And whilst there's plenty of the 4" versions there seems to be only one supplier i could find for the larger 7" version and they are about $27 each. So i bought some orchid pots and cut them down...
They are about $2.50 each
And already have holes in the base !!!
These were a little big to fit on to my 7" holders so i trimmed them down and then cut the sock part off a regular filter sock so i could put the ring inside the cup to finish it off.
I also added some additional side slits to increase the flow capacity.
Cheap n easy reefin !
