If a 6040 is running on pulse mode, will the Moonlight/Night-mode diode cause the pump to turn off at night ... or merely run at a lower strength pulse?

Just put a 6040 in my 24g and love the flow I'm getting after using the auto-adjust to find the right pulse mode setting for a resonant standing wave in my tank.

I'm now thinking about getting the Moonlight/night mode diode to drop the flow down a bit at night but don't want the pump to turn off completely.

The 6040 manual states "the pump will be switched off when the light is turned off in the pulse mode" ... yet I've seen forum threads that say it will just drop down to ~30% power.

Anyone know which is correct - will the pump turn off, or run at lower power?

Night mode is whatever you have the pulse speed set to, so if that is off, the pump will be off.
