I was thinking of adding a second fish only tank. Its a 72 bow, but the problem is it will be on the second floor. I worry weight will be too much. Am I being too cautious or is there a structural concern I need to worry about.

W/out knowing anything, and assuming your framing is sound, should be no issue.
I would probably try to place near a load bearing wall and would prefer it in a location that spanned a couple/few joists to avoid even potential minor deflection, but I too am somewhat over cautious.

It will be by the wall and I’m building the stand with a 2x4 base with a 3/4 plywood so it displaces weight over 6 feet

Hi! I was reading your post and wondering on any updates on the floor/tank? Any issues??
