75 gal light replacement

I have a 2 HL/2 flourescent light fixture (jalia A27) i want to replace it with a 6 bulb t5 fixture.......will it offer the same growth for sps or is this a bad idea??

Im doing this becaus HL bulbs are pricey and this fixture im looking at has 2 tubes of leds..which i also want........

do it, i switshed and im getting great sps growth. just make sure the light you get has a high end reflector

All 6 lamp T5's are not created equal........
From personal experience I would look for them in this order:
1st - ATI
2nd - TEK
3rd - CurrentUSA

I know that there are other out there as well. I just haven't had the opportunity to try them out.

Make sure that yoiu get individual reflectors.
Fans are VERY important. The more the better. Even added a fan that blows accross the ballast will increase you lamp output.
Get GOOD lamps.
The lamps that come with any of them are never what you want or need.
Sell them to a friend that has fish only :wink:

No I haven't used the ATI lamps at all.

I have Giesmann & UVL.

I have heard great things about ATI lamps.
