75 gallon first legit tank

Ok so I have everything plumbed up and have it filled with fresh and it is running like a champ. Only problem is my mag 7 return is freaking loud, and I will probably replace some tubing and piping. What kind of tubing can I use, just vinyl tubing from the hardware store?
Vinyl tubing will accumulate Algae if exposed to light. I would hard plumb it with PVC or use black tubing. PVC is your best option. Yes its a pain in the butt but in the long run it is the way to go.

I will hard plumb it eventually I am going to wrap it in black foam insulation for now so I don't get the algea buildup.

Ok so starting to scape this thing

Looks nice...did you punch your rockwork down? Just worried about a landslide if you ever get a digger or sifter...

The bottom rocks are all the way in the sand bed which is 4.5 inches deep and the other rocks for the most part are zip tied or epoxied. It should hold well.

Tanks only been cycling since the 22nd and I've already got some good signs it's moving along nicely

I am also in need of a heater that is less 11" or less that will fit in my sump. I can do two heaters if necessary.

Just got done testing PH 8.0 Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 0...... I hat api test kits they are worthless. I will be getting a new test kit I have just been putting it off and now I have too. There is no way my tank is zeroed out now.

I haven't tested till now diatoms are going away and I have been feeding the tank. The rock did cycle in a trash can for about 3 weeks while I set up the tank and I also seeded the tank with about 8 pounds of really good cured live rock from my other tank. But still it shouldn't be cycled completely this fast... should it?
