The aquarium was started in early March of this year. I decided on 100lbs of dry pukani for the display and to fill the sump. After 2 months pods were added, followed by fish. A reef octopus 150int is housed in the refugium (40g DIY kit from modular marine) along with a BRS carbon reactor. The return is a standard jebao dc pump. 2 150 watt Jager heaters keep the tank between 77.3-78.1 . Two maxspect ethereal lights light the reef very efficiently. The tank utilizes a HOB overflow. Two jebao DC style makers, as well as a 1k Icecap gyre, sufficiently give my tank adequate flow with no noticeable dead spots, although I plan on removing the jebaos and replacing them with another gyre. The system is monitored by an apex system, along with colorimeters from Hannah and Red Sea test kits. There is not currently anything being dosed since my calcium and alkalinity are sufficient (480ppm and 9dkh) from weekly 30g water changes using HW-reefer salt with intent to use kalk in the future.

Livestock: Melanurus Wrasse, a large pair of Percula Clownfish, Orchid Dottyback, blue dottyback, Purple Tang, and under 30 hermits and snails. Although initially, I had a pipefish that was killed by an emerald crab and a mandarin that did not live after it's 11th day. The 2 emerald crabs were relocated to the fuge where my arrow crab also resides. The coral in my tank consists of 2 SPS frag packs from WWC and an unknown soft coral, pink birds nest as well as a purple acro I salvaged from Petco after a great dunk in bayer. I plan to get more Acropora and several montipora from Jason Fox corals, and maybe some LPS if I ever decide.

Yup, I'm pretty sure I follow you on Instagram.

:D lol

Your right! — I’ve been looking at too many aquariums lately... I think it fried my brain. ;Eggonface

All 3 of my new wrasse hid directly into the sand bed. Unlike my melanurus who drifted around the bottom and contemplated dying for a half day lol. Red Lined, Xmas, and Yellow wrasse. My Vroliks wrasse didn't make it in today I'm so confused, why must you do this to me Live Aquaria lol?
Well, whenever he makes it my livestock will be complete.
