8 heads aussie western rasta torch

That’s the trick.

And you can get coral viewing glasses that are essentially cheap frames with orange tinted lenses and your tank will look awesome when you put them on

Ah I did think those, but that’s my front glass

I designed them for torches and had a 3d print buddy make them. I asked for them to be angled, and to extend farther than normal into the tank. I want torch to have room to grow out and extend and not hit the glass. Locking plug hole. And even though one magnet is enough, I asked for double magnets, vertically aligned, so clumsy snails can’t force the mount to rotate out of place.

Then I made an acro order and thought they would be perfect. And my acros stole them

Well. They didn’t steal all of the ones I bought.

If anyone wants them I’ll ask if my dude can make more and how much, and I’ll tag him here

Most of the time, I'm too lazy to use a lense kit. I just use my phone to take photos through the orange glasses. Quick and looks great.

As an alternative to using orange filters, try downloading the SilkyPix Aqua app from your phone's app store. It won't match the quality of a physical filter, but it does a much better job than your phone's stock camera app at filtering blue light to enhance coral colors.

I already ordered my orange lens I'm just waiting for them to come in

Thank you. I didn't think about Facebook. Do you have any idea with a price it's worth?
It really depends on what Torch you have and the market in which you are selling it. Local markets can vary greatly in prices compared to a national market.

Blue light + orange clip lens, which filters out excess blue, tends to yield great pics

Cameras are hyper sensitive to blue leds. But that’s what makes many corals have the best color pop. The orange filter tames the blue to compensate for the over sensitive camera sensors

That last pic, the torch with pink tips.. what's it called?

I’d think a pair of bone cutters could easily snap off a frag at the base…but I’m not sure if people do that.
At any rate, I’m curious to see the pics when you post them

Bone cutters and torches dont mix. Bone cutters will crack the skeleton. Band saw or dremel is the only way.

I don't have any bone cutters. I've never fragged anything or cared to. I'm building up my equipment so I can maybe start fragging and to sell later down the line.

A lot of our customers bring in corals to trade as well as sell off any corals locally that get too big for their tank. It's a good way to keep the hobby more affordable. Best to check local facebook groups in your area.

Good to know, I'm local ;)

Interesting as Rasta Torches are super common in Australia, and fairly cheap.

You can get them here for about 15-30 dollars a head (AUD).
Must be nice. I think they are so expensive here because they ship them but every place i looked they are like 600 or more (usd)
