I have had a 15 gallon fluval flex set up for about 8 months. I have put this tank through the ringer with an extreme hair algae outbreak, an anemone death, and swinging salinity.

The hair algae i solved with a water change and a handful of hermit crabs. The salinity swinging was in the first twoish months only because I did not realize how fast salt evaporates. The anemone death only scared me majorly a month after the death. I learned that a death like that could’ve killed my whole tank and I felt super lucky.

I only have about $100 invested in corals. Everything else was given/thrown in by some amazing hobbyists. I am in love with every coral I have and my two amazing clowns.

I am looking forward to many more years of reef keeping to come! Here are some of my favorite recent pictures. Any concerns, advice, or anything is appreciated

Congrats to overcoming hair algae! That is one form of algae that is a pain to deal with!

It looks great!! Nanos are hard because the salinity and other parameters can swing quickly, but looks like you’re doing a great job!!
