I'm finaly going to make a build thread for my 80gal bedroom build thats also on a budget.
This is my 2nd tank it's been up for almost 4 months. I bought the tank for 500$ used X2.(the guy I bought it from also bought it used.)
When I got it it came with a skimmer, 2 return pumps, 3 ai prime lighting brackets, the stand, a lid, 2x 5 gal buckets of dry rock, a little frag rack and a leak in the back left corner.

There's a pretty interesting story on how I ended up with the fish I currently have. But that's for another time.

I just finished deleting a bunch of cyano that was in the tank so sorry for the blue air strip and the odd looking powerhead.
I also just got a bunch of new corals from a frend.
Anyway so here are the current fish and corals
Fish:
-blue damsel
-Cromis
-onespot foxface
-2x black clownfish
-diamondback goby (haven't seen it in a day)
Coral:
-5x montiporas of varying type
-Gorgonian tree/fan
-Kenya tree
-Rosta torch
-Green torch
-singular zoa
-few mushrooms
-pulsing xenia
-Galactica

Torches are my favorite coral by far.
I also have some turbo snails and hermitcrabs in there.

(sorry the images are bad all I have is my phone and the ability to adjust the settings of the camera)

Got a purple LTA! Tanks still young but has been stable.
It totally hasn't gotten sucked up into 2 of my 3 powerheads in the last 3 days and totally didn't come out CONPLETELY UNSCAVEVED
Also switched him to the other side of the tank where the clownfish hang and there arent any powerfull enough powerheads to hurt him.

This morning:

Also got more tourch coral along with the only sps that will be in this tank for a while.

I'm just a torch loving guy!
On another bit I discovered that my singular zoa polyp now as 2 more (viewable) plops to it!
Along with that I discovered that the gorgonian tree I got from a frend (along with my mushrooms and monti)
Had a chaos zoa on the base! He was supposed to bring some to me when he brought the other coral but forgot.

Not any pictures of much right now but...
I've been gone for 2 weeks but came back for a day in the middle of it. When I got back for that one day i saw a little brown slime looking thing and I thought when I got home I need to test my phosphate becuse it looks a awful lot like dinos...
Had the person who was caring for the tank dose MB7.
Got back and low and behold. Phosphate was 0 :(
Nitrate was 4.
So I did a 2.5 day blackout (why I don't have any images) most of the dinos is gone. Now I have turned my skimmer off and I'm a little more.

Hopefully it'll solve the issue.

But on a slightly better note the anenome has settled in a spot. I've discovered 2 new heads in 2 doffrent spots in my tank from my wavinghand. Along with alot of the little chyrstophytes in the back of my tank are gone too in part of scraping and the blackout.

I'll get images tomorrow.

Decided to try to get the clowns to host.

I decided that this might be a good strategy. Took inspiration off another person who took the clowns and his anenome and put them in a strainer and let it float around.

I think it's also better than scooping them up in their sleep and trying to put them on the anenome.
(I tried but it didn't work.)

Also my anenome is in a good spot and I don't wanna move it or risk it getting sucked into a powerhead for a 3rd time.

But I'll post if it works!

Also yes that is frag rack.

Well it's been a month.
Haven't posted becuse I was battling dinos :(
But that battle is almost fully won.

Anyway time for updates!

1st the anenome decided to move behind a new piece of live rock I got. I moved that rock and he shifted to the front. So he is in a good spot.

My 2 smaller torch corals both have new heads.
The back piece of montipora has noticeably grown.

Then biggest of all today I got 2 new fish!
1st is a blue sided fairy wrasse (no pic becuse he hid)
And 2nd a 3 or 4 inch sailfin tang!

Dinos are no more!
Since then all my corals have grown quite alot including my sponge and purple stylo.
2 of my touches gave new heads.
All this yet my alk has hit really low with really high phos.
Anenome moved due to a powerhead going out and now he is in a place where I can't see him :(
But the new additions have gotten along. The tang and foxface just stay together all day.

I also discovered a vermented snail problem but got bumblebee snails and see them disappearing. Along with a fire shrimp and he is cool. I see him more in this tank than I do the one in my 75 gal.

The tank is coming to a close.
after 7 leaks and 4 being in the last week. we have decided to get a new tank. I might continue to post about it on here or i might start a new build thread.

That's it. After 7 months and 7 leaks I finaly got a new bigger tank.
Some of the final images here. Now the tank is siting with a inch of dirty disgusting water and a little sand in it.
The new tank is going good. I just found out how loud a sump is. Gotta fix that tmr. I'll try to sleep to the gurgling.
Should I start a new build thread for the new tank?
It's not really a 80gal aio budget build anymore.
I guess the lesson learned is don't buy a tank for 500$ off of facebook marketplace.
