Don't buy from 818! Worst experience with an online vendor. Excuses after excuses for not shipping on time. Messed up my order 3 times. 2 DOA's the first time. Then the replacement DOAs were torches and were already brown and dead by the time I got them. My millie does not even look close to what I ordered. His "yellowjacket goni's" are just some cheap green goni.. I'd rather take the financial lost on them then deal with this company ever again!!

Going to agree with this review. Essentially when things go well then the place is ok, but when things go wrong its a very bad experience. With mine he missed a shipping date (even when reminded a couple days prior) so due to my work schedule (trips) i asked for a refund since it would be a few weeks. I was told it was my fault for not reminding him enough, he didnt do anything wrong, and he has a policy of absolutely no refunds no matter what. I tried to argue that it wasnt really a refund since he failed to fulfill an order, but didnt matter. This was my like 3rd order, but wont be ordering again after this experience.

Also i do agree that much of his yellow stuff is more like safety green in person, but i also feel like many sites do that so not a good practice but i guess not surprising.

Yall need to start reporting these places to the better business bureau when they act like this. It’s basically theft and fraud.

I’m in the 818 - I hadn’t seen them until a few days ago and got an ad on instagram. Couldn’t find any details about location of their business or if they had a storefront local to me. The copy cat branding of drink818 tequila was a red flag as well IMO lol

I ordered from them about a year ago, it went well. Frags were exactly what I bought, shipped on time and I still have them. The. I ordered a second time about 3 months ago the ago and it was a nightmare. Missed shipping date, DOA’s took forever to get replacements, and all of those died in a week.

Recently ordered and wanted to share some feedback. I will not be ordering again. The pictures are 100% photo shopped and not in a way where you can throw an orange filter and take picture under blues. Green colors become yellow and orange colors become red.

Communication was the worse I have ever experienced. Quick to reply to take your money but would make excuses why he couldn't ship. Had to ask multiple times for a tracking number. Would get the excuse, "my wife has it". Had to remind him twice and almost beg for a tracking number.

Had a similar experience where the shipping date had to change after checking multiple times that the original date was going to work, basically had to nag him to try to get my shipment on time and it still ended up a few days late. The acros came in super stressed, 3 of the 7 acros ended up dying with the first few days. Sent a picture of a literally gray dead tenius with a few polyps still alive and said he wouldnt refund that one bc it was still "alive" (a reputable seller would not have argued about whether this acro was dead/dying). He did offer store credit for the ones that fully died within the 5 day time frame but i would not recommend this seller. Just buy from Battlecorals or fraghouse corals their prices are even that much more when they are having sales

Also had two bad experiences with 818 Aquatics. They did not provide any tracking on my shipment and the hammer died sitting in mailroom. Also had an expensive Acro arrive colorless which they never replaced.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences with them so far only ordered off of their Instagram in the dms and everything I have gotten has been good never any doa and have actually gotten a free frag thrown in my order. I would reccomend them but you have to have realistic expectations that it is a small business and is ran by one guy, with that being said I would much rather bring my business to the mom and pop shops rather than a large chop shop that is just fragging and bagging without regards to the health of the corals. Just my own opinion do with it what you will.

Unfortunately…. Not great at responding… WYS is not what you get. Spent over $300 and only one frag was WYSIWYG. Still waiting on a response after kindly informing him that nothing I received was what I purchased. While they were the same kind of coral… they were all far off from the photo of what I purchased. We’ll see if he corrects this, but I would not purchase anything from him. Don’t know if I’ll ever order coral online again.

I was asking religiously for photos of the coral before he packaged them to ensure it was what I was receiving, he never once acknowledged it and never sent pictures. I completely understand he’s a one man band, but I would personally stay away.

had a few hiccups with him but after some conversation he held himself accountable and fixed the problem. Issued me store credit for the two corals that went awry and I’d say he’s a solid businessman and one I’m happy to give my money to!

I bought 2 order from them a year ago and had bad experiences , not recommended, all of my money go to fraghouse instead
