Welcome to my newest build. So this makes Tank #5 since I have switched over to the dark side called reefing. The tank is a 85 gallon rimless and the sump is a custom made 50 gallon acrylic sump.
I am going to start this tang bare bottom and possibly add sand later. I'm not to crazy about my current tank being bare bottom but I also miss the sand look.

One of my QT Tanks. Has been housing my Yellow Tang and One Spot Fox Face for 2 months now. Im sure they are ready to move into a bigger tank. No copper used. No ich spotteed.
12.jpg

And then I did this to them last week. Now They really cant wait to go into the big tank!! No copper used, the rock is safe. I got this rock from a buddy who shut down his tank, Rock is currently 8 months old and has no pests or any issues. I visit his house frequently and know the rock is good!

My MP20

As the tank sits I am waiting for the silicone to dry and cure on the overflow tower. Should be ready to stock 11/22/17 but I may wait until the weekend to move everything. Wish me luck.

Got the door handles and locks installed on the door today. Added a shelf for the light to hang from. Added the t5 fixture. Also rinsed 40 pounds of sand for 2 hours and added it to the tank. Thinking about adding 20 more pounds offs and tomorrow.

What size is fuge? Have you fired up h380, heard it is very noisey. What king of spread for fuge light. Like the scape, like working a puzzle

The refugium section is only 8.40 gal. A little small for me but the sump was built a year ago or longer so I did not know I would be trying out Triton.
Ive ran the H380 on a separate tank for a month now. That thing is quiet as can be. I cannot hear it running over the MP40QD....and that thing is quiet as well.

I have the H380 and it doesn’t make any noise.

Wow I really need to update this thread! I cant believe its been since December since I last posted on it.

Well I lost 95% of my SPS due to not being able to get Triton Core 7 in time. I switched to my old 2 part mix and had a huge ALK drop. All of the SPS died within a 2-3 week period after that. So now I'm done with SPS (for the 4th time) and concentrating on making this tank mainly a euphyllia tank.

I decided to use up the replacement shipment of Triton that BRS sent me since my original cartons leaked. I truly believe the Triton Core 7 is a great product. I just wish a more reliable company owned it. As we speak it is out of stock on BRS , although Unique Coral has some stocked. I am still going to use Triton since its what Ive used for quite a while now...and it works great, cheap and very easy to use. Its almost fool proof.

Here is a few quick pics of the reef this past weekend.

Freshly cleaned tank always has me walking by the tank staring!

Fed the Acantho for the first time this weekend. It swelled up big time!

My sand sifting starfish fell on to my plate coral. @Kman237 do you remember this plate you sold me for $10 It has at least doubled in size!

Did my first water test in over 2 months. Everything is still perfect. This is why i'm still using Triton!
