Hey everybody, currently trying to figure out the best way to filter a tank this small independently without running an extra return pump for my 8 gallon by Biocube! Anybody have any ideas or advice?

I think your choices come down to:
  • Drill the tank for an overflow (if possible, if the glass is not tempered) and run a sump.
  • Use a quality HOB overflow (Eshopps) and run a sump.
  • Use a canister filter; I would suggest loading it with rock rubble.
  • Use a Hang On Back filter such as the Fluval Aquaclear or Seachem Tidal.
  • Use nothing but circ pumps and some rock in the tank as the biofilter.
I hope this helps and good luck!
