90 Gallon Mixed Reef!

Heres some pictures of my 90 gallon mixed reef. My tank is almost two years old. It has been through some ups and downs with crashing alk levels and Very Very high nitrates where I lost most of my stuff. I have got my tank leveled off and it has been doing quite well. Enjoy!

I'm a little concerned about your pumps... what happens if you have a nem start wandering and it gets sucked up by one of them.

Equipment: MSX 200 Skimmer, Lights are 2 10k 250W Metal Halides with 2 110W VHO Actinic, Flow is just 3 koralias

Those anemones have earned my trust. They like there spots and have never moved, and korolias don't tend to suck them through because of there casings.

akabryanhall- Look in the sand. I got a ton of sps frags this past weekend from a friend. Just acclimating them in the sand bed to get them used to my lights.

I dont use 20k Bulbs because I have a ton of actinic lighting that gave me the look that I wanted. I tweeked the lighting because I thought it was to much light but Im thinking of going back to 4 VHO 110 watts instead of 2.

i think your color looks really nice. what kind of grow are you seeing in your corals with the 2 10k 250W Metal Halides with 2 110W VHO Actinic setup you have ?

Im not exactly sure what the growth is on my current lights but when I was running 2 MH and 4 VHO I got really really good growth with really nice coloring. I still have good coloring. Only the two caps are the sps that I have had for more than a month. I also had water quality issues about 2 months ago which I fixed and now Im seeing nice growth. I would say a fourth a inch in less than a month with current lights. I say the 10k metal halides give the best growth over 20k halides. The 20k halides give the color instead of the growth. I have the VHO to get the color that 20k halides give. So I get the growth for the 10ks and the color of 20ks by using VHOs.
