I am starting a new 90 gallon mixed reef tank. It’s been a slow process. I’ve been buying everything brand new. I got a 20 gallon long tank and baffle kit but decided it’s too small so I was thinking of getting either a sapphire 39, emerald 39 or Fiji 36. As I start the build I will add more pics.

So I’m trying to figure out how to plumb my tank. I have the aqueon overflow accessory kit. The bulk heads are 2 different sizes. The intake one is smaller than the return. I want to hard plumb it but having trouble figuring out what I need all

Nice set up. On my 90, I ended up using the two predrilled holes on my 90 for a nervier drain and went over the top for the return.
Thank you. What is a nervier drain? My sump has 3 slots for filter socks and I’m trying to figure out the best plumbing. I have a canopy so I figured all my plumbing will be underneath.

Congrats on the new 90 setup David. Love my 90 gallon, perfect size imo. Will follow especially because my 15 year old Marineland tank has a slow pin leak and now purchasing likely an Aqueon/ Seapora. Curious as to how you find all the seals etc on setup. Let us know please. Happy reefing!

Ha, sorry autocorrect got me. Was supposed to be herbie (primary drain below water through smaller hole and emergency backup through larger). I have the back up going into the main chamber of the sump above the water so it’s obvious if water is going down it.

I haven’t filled it with water yet but I’ll let you know when I do. The seals look good though

Cut a hole in my canopy to put my lights in. My wires are a mess right now.
