What is the max GPH your overflow can handle? I swear by the Sicce Syncra pumps. Would probably say a 4.0 for a tank that size but it depends on your overflow

Reef Octopus Varios pumps are great pumps for the price! Very quiet with strong flow, I own the Varios 4 and Varios 6. I haven't yet seen another pump this well built for the price and features.

I won't have anything Jabao on my tank, too unreliable.

As @KJ mentioned, jebao dct pumps work great and don't break the bank. I've used them almost exclusively. For the 90 you could try the dct12000.

My rule of thumb is to buy adjustable, and bigger than necessary. That way you don't have to run it at full power, this increasing longevity.

While the RO varios pumps are nice, I could buy almost 4 of the jebao pumps for the price of one of them.

Remove the reef ready and do a coast to coast overflow (look at my build) do it right while u can u gain so much space removing the reef ready plastic thing

Then do the most flow u possibly can.
I prefer two vectra m1s But I would prolly do varios now for the apex compatibility. I use two just in case one fails I still have flow.

i would reccomend a jebao over a varios myself, jeabo are cheap, work and they come as they are suppose to, unlike the ro varios which may come in the box with the wrong impeller like the varios -s skimmer pump that came with my regal 200 INT which came with a water impeller instead of the skimmer impeller. with that said im using a dcp 10000 on my 150 running it at f050, P026/P027 ( i went oversize to run lower speed :D). for a 90 i would say probably a DCP8000 or larger and turn it down to save power.

I'm looking for the right flow in my 80 gallon rebuild. The picture shows my plumbing I was not using the hook in on the left. Just a Sicce 5.0 pump 1321GPH I was getting 550 at the left behind the drain line is the apex flow sensor. Now I want to run my reactors off of the return pump and I'm not sure how much GPH I can run with my Durso overflow. But I am looking for the right pump any suggestions?

I use a fluval sp6. It runs my biopellet reactor. Returns and a ats. I have 3/4" returns and 1" drains. Herbie style.
