Greetings R2R,

I am planning to upgrade from my 35 gallon to a 90 gallon reef ready setup. Step one build a stand. The tank dimensions are 48.5 long, 28.5 deep, 24 tall. Anyone have build plans or suggestions for a stand.

Use foam between the tank and the stand. Build the stand to the exact size of the tank and lay the foam down.

After its done, build a slide guide/decorative piece with molding to give it that finished look and hide the foam/bottom of the tank.

Go as tall as possible for your liking. When you build a stand, dont short yourself out on work space when you need to do stuff.

Lastly, coat the entire inside in flex seal or something to repel water. Splashes and spills happen and having the wood you built turn to mold is not fun.

Oh also I would recommend changing from durso to Herbie drains with the return going over the top... everyone will recommend this for noise and peace of mind

Water bubbling in the 90gal as of last night. Using an Eshopps R100 3rd Gen and the drain is LOUD. Suggestions for mitigation?
