A chefs Elos 120

Well, finally start a thread for this tank.


I picked up this Elos 120 last year for $500. We just bought a Condo and did a total remodel, so this build has been on hold, although I did work on it, I am ready to get it wet when the controller arrives.

Here is the quick rundown;

Profilux 4 & all the gadgets (waiting on delivery)
GHL Doser 2
MP 40QD x2
GHL Vortech Controller
Gyre 130
Vectra M1
Vertex 180i
Hydra 52HD x2

(I have a Cerebra, but just not willing to wait on the replacement and second beta, save as back up or use on frag tank.

Rock Building. I did this a few time, still not so sure yet.

Equipment cabinet, as I said, still waiting on the GHL to finish this off, get the probes & floats installed as I don't want to see any wires.

Orange Cat Sizing tank for his fishy;

Fish Closet. This in a spare room, along with the current frag tank.
I have RODI lines running from this room, through the crown molding to the tank. this is to refill the ato reservoir under the stand, salt mixing etc..
(don't mind the mess, still in works).
The RODI unit is ran from a bathroom sink adjacent to this closet.

I built a hanger out of acrylic.

Hanging lights and filling it up.
Still waiting on the GHL and toys.

This overflow is so loud.
I did a temporary mod, so I ordered an elos drain silencer for this, just to lazy to make one.

Zero leaks in the plumbing, thats good I guess.

Having a little issue with the air / water, and sump gurgling. Hopefully the silencer will help, I have the pump dialed way down too. Its not bad, but my other systems have been dead silent.

Day 1

Transferred a couple frags over, moving fish next Friday / Saturday. Ill spend a few weeks transfering everything over.

GHL will be here Thursday.

Cycled almost instantly with the marinepure blocks, rocks I had in my other sump, along with AF products.

Looks good! I painted my vertex too lol
