I've been carbon dosing for a bout 2 months. Currently my nitrates are 5ppm. its a 100 gallon system and im dosing 50ml a day.

Should I cut the dosage in half at this point? i want to keep my nitartes at 5ppm.
Also my alk is in the 8.5 to 9 range is that ok?

You might reduce dosing if nitrate is falling. Has it declined?

The alk is fine if nitrate does not bottom out at very low levels.
