In my sump we have a trio of lights (pic below), held in place by magnets. Last week one fell into the sump unnoticed. I'm not sure how long it was in there. Maybe a night, maybe 36 hours?

The tank looks largely fine. We did lose a peppermint shrimp and a pithos crab. Was it related? Umm, I don't know.

Actions taken:
1) 20% water change on Saturday and another 20% today (Monday).
2) I added activated carbon on Saturday too.

Question: What else would you do, if anything?

Maybe switch the lights, I use a led strip that is waterproof, so al long as the contacts and wires stay dry it could work underwater if it had to. Gives me peace of mind if it ever drops. If all is looking good now I think you're fine

Mine dropped in too, while I was doing stuff though. Besides screwing the light up, no issues
Edit: I just moved the mounting to the side a bit so if it falls, it goes beside the sump instead of in it
