A Nem that doesnt move much?

Well I know that is hard to find but is there a hostable nem that doesnt move much? My Spotcinctus Clown really wants to host in something anf sleeps in my hammer coral. I want to get a nem but im scared. I have a RBTA in my fuge/sump I would move him up there but im nervous. What do you guys suggest?

This is the one I have in my sump. Just put it in there yesterday. Got it in a trade and it was still acclimating in the pic. It looks fuller now.

Bta's move around alot even when they are happy. If you do move it up there or get a nem make sure your powerheads are covered good. A few questions to help you get an idea for what nem would work best. What lighting do you have? How deep is your sand bed? Water parameters with numbers? Is the rbta your first nem?

Sounds like a pain in the butt lol. Maybe I will just let my clown sleep in the hammer. I have had a rock flower nem before two in fact but they dont move hardly at all.

it all depends... if the conditions right, i have found that sebaes, gigantea, and long tentacles have all stayed put for the most part. too many variables and even under perfect condition there are no guaranties.

There is no guarantees with an anemone. I have kept BTA and LTA and had some stay put for years; others moved around a lot. I've had the most luck with magnificas, BUT I always design a spot specifically for them that is difficult to move from.

IME they are different. I have had a Sebae in the past and it moved all around (previous tank)
In my current talk i tried a really nice green BTA and it moved a few times (its gone, died).
Now i have 2 Rainbow Bubble tips and 1 speckled RBTA all 3 have not moved after they got their spot.
In fact, the 2 smaller ones (rainbow and rose) have stayed directly where i put them. The larger Rainbow moved a few inches to protect its foot inside a cave. It is about 7-8 inches and from inside the cave it stretches out of the cave and spreads so big to catch the light and be fed here and there. At night it retracts back into the cave and pulls all its tentacles into itself.
On another note, none of my 4 clowns try to host in any of my BTAs.
I dont keep direct flow on any of them and i feed them directly, so that may be why they dont move.

IMO/E, if given the proper conditions, any hosting anemone will stay put*. I have had anemones stay in the same place for years -- with a move being the reason for their moving. Any other time that they have moved, I have been able to pinpoint the reason.

* === the excepting being E. quadricolor. The main anemone stays put, the clone(s) will move until they find a spot.

My anemones never move. I have had BTA's and a h. crispa.

The only nem I have that used to move a lot was my coney.. The BTA's all stay still and are happy.

I have had my BTA for about a year and a half. in my old tank it split three ways and seperated itself on opposite ends of my 180. once each was happy, they stayed put for 9 months until I broke the tank down. the third of the split somehow got attached to a snail and i removed and sold it.

I moved both nems into a new tank and actually chiseled one from the rock it was on. I placed them both where I wanted them. this was july 1st. today , 1 has stayed where i placed it. moving maybe an inch or two. The other stayed put until i changed the current and then it walked to a new spot and has been there for 2 months. in that time it has doubled in size and beauty...

moral. once they find their happy spot, they stay.
