Has anybody used Interceptor as a dip for LPS ??? if so what was the mixture per gallon of water and how long did you leave them soak ???? I am still having trouble with some chalices.... they are receeding for no apparent reason.... i have lost about 6 so far...the others are not affected and are growing very slowly... i tried dipping them in iodine and revive but it hasnt helped... i have moved them around the tank thinking they werent getting enough or to much light and still nothing...they get fed about 3 times a week but it still dosent seem to make them grow any fast or help the receeding..... i know that some chalices grow alot slower than others...i am at my witts end .... i dont know what else to do.....i do water changes every 2 weeks with fresh ro/di water and reef crystals salt....my bulbs have been replaced about 1 month ago and i acclimated all my chalices to the new light bulbs.... i check my parrimitors about 3 times a week and they are stable......here are my readings for the last week ....i've been taking readings every 2 days at differant times during the day....

Is it just coincidental that the temp over that period has been rising (perhaps based on the times you tested at)?

Anyways, moving a damaged coral doesn't make it happy and will only stress further unless it's obviously in the wrong area. I would let them be.

If you do an Interceptor dip, treat it the same as dipping acros, I do 10X Dorton's dose (1 pill per 38 gals) for 12 hours. Toss in a bucket with small heater and pump overnight works well. I repeat twice a few days apart before introducing into DT.

thanks stunreefer....what is a 10x Dorton's dose ????? what kind of pump do you use in a bucket......i have been reading alot about other peoples chalices receeding and most of them claim there is a ring along the receeded chalice... but mine does not have a colored ring...its just bleached white skeleton and theres no stopping it...atleast i have found...what else could be doing it ??? and my temp never goes below 78 and never goes above 80......
