A question about my bubble coral.

Occasionally it’ll deflate its bubbles quite a bit and it puts out this one long red bubble looking thing from what looks like his mouth, it just stays like this for a day or so, then the next morning it’s fine and full bubbles. Then maybe repeats in another month or two.

Is this a normal thing they do? Is it caused by stress? It doesn’t seem to correlate with water changes or anything I can put my finger on, it just does it one day, then the next it’s normal and happy looking again. Thoughts?

Ok that’s fantastic, thank you!! I don’t know why I didn’t think of that... I’ve had it for over a year and never saw it do this, and now it is occasionally, so I didn’t even consider that.
