No pest must not like my alk level. I have always acclimated for 10 mins then glue it where I want it usually high 350 to 500 par. I have only lost like 4 corals doing it this way. I managed to save 2 1/4 inch nubs will see if they live if not I'll get a new piece from my buddy. In a few months. We trade all high end corals as a bank.

Plus my frags are super cheap to buy We was 30 buck.

That the reaction of the sps to the epoxy that you use. Some epoxy give out heat when fresh mix and if you glue your frag immediately then sometime it will rtn the next day. If you want to use epoxy put a little dap of glue in between to block the heat.

Yeah I never use epoxy to hold a frag in place. I usually clip the plug I have it on to a small square then use glue gel then epoxy then glue on the bottom where it goes on the rock.
