A360X Troubleshooting

I have 2 Kessil A360X with the WiFi dongle that I purchased used last year. When I initially purchased the lights I tested everything and it all worked as it should. I only needed one on the tank I had at the time and bought the pair intending to use them both on a future upgrade. When I was using only one of the lights the app would pop up a warning for the second light being disconnected every time I opened the app. To get rid of the pop up warning, I deleted the second light from the group since it wasn’t being used. Fast forward to today, I’m setting up the pair on my new tank and I cannot get the app to recognize the second light. Ive refreshed the app on the dashboard page, I’ve reset the dongle, I’ve reset the app. I’ve done everything I can think of. The second light will randomly blink on and off for a few seconds but will not fully turn on and the app won’t pick it up. Any help for this before I pull my hair out and order a different light?
 
Outside of checking physical connections or swapping the wifi dongle to see if the problem follows reach out to Kessil support. They may be able to suggest more.
 
I’d also check to see if the second light was placed in another group when reconnected.

Sounds like it might be electrical.
360X's seem to have issues..

Take the light that isn't working and swap it with the one that is. See if it fires up. If it fires up, it's likely the power supply. I have a power supply coming tomorrow for one of mine for this same reason. If i turn mine on, it will flash once and then stay out. Usually bad caps or something in the power supply. It's not detected by the controller, and if the power supply is gooched it's not going to see it.

They have replacements on amazon that are like 18 bucks.
 
Free tip. Do not buy cheap power supplies for expensive lights on amazon. OEM power supplies are more expensive for a a good reason.
