Able to combine Maxspect Jump 2K and an Icecap 2K onto the same Maxspect controller?

Hi DIYers,

I have a Maxspect Jump 2K on my 40Long AIO tank (~36"L x 15"W x 12"H). Would like to get an opposing side 2K gyre without having to buy a whole new pump + controller ($220). Icecap 2K seems to be an exact replica of the Jump 2K. Is it possible to rig up an Icecap 2K pump only ($120) to the Maxspect controller and run the two on the same schedule? Is there a type of 3-pin cable splitter that would let me connect both to the same controller, and would they perform as usual? Does the Icecap 2K even work if you plug it into the Jump 2K controller?

Yeah, just wondering if you hooked up a splitter to the output going from the controller to the pump like this:

With one end connected to one pump and the other connected to another pump... would the Jump 2K still work? Would the second gyre connected work?

IK this thread is a little old but did you ever it this to see if it works?
I did not! Ended up going with a pair of used xf330s instead so I could synchronize the cross-flow. Unfortunately, one arrived broken so now I have one xf330, basically back where I started ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm in a similar boat. I had two Icecaps one new and one used I brought off of here without a controller. My dual unit controller died so now I only have a controller that can run one of the two that I have. To make matters worse Coralvue has stopped making the stand alone controllers for them some I have been unable to find a replacement.

Hello. I decided to try, Icecap 4k and a dual wifi controller. One catch only: gotta say to app that the Maxspect Gyre 2k is an Icecap 1k, otherwise you Will get that “hum” noise. Worked like a charm.
