Come on everyone, we all know T5 are the absolute best!, or maybe it was MH... Yah MH!

Jokes aside, there's no best, it's what is best for you. They all have pros and cons. Wait unless you combined T5 with MH I wonder if that's been done before....:thinking-face:

I ve gone from MH, to T5 and now to Razor LEDs.
If I could afford the power cost, (and bulbs lol) I would go back to my MH in a heartbeat.

but I'm biased on the Razor now... I own the bigger brother to this and for the cost, IMO, cant be beat:

Very happy with my photon 48v2. I see no reason to go to a Meridian

That light you have is a pretty good light. Maybe at some bars to it. I got 2 kessils that I added an orephek and quanta bar to. Tank looks best when just kessils are running but the bars definatly give spread and growth

I prefer halides and T5's. But this question is impossible to answer because it's all opinion.
I've got an old Tek 8x54W T5 fixture that'll be going over my upcoming tank until the bulbs I have decay (about 12 months). Then I'll switch out to the Photons. I really like T5s. They're a really good array.

When you get ready I'll buy the fixture. I'm running a six bulb. If I remember correctly your not that far away from me. I'm in Auburn.

Looking for some feedback on the absolute best lighting system with no regards to cost. I have a Waterbox 65.4 with a Kessil AP700. I like the light but I'm interested in knowing if there is anything better maybe even something that will simulate weather of ocean reefs including clouds, lightning and thunder, sun rise and sunset, moons etc that makes smooth transitions in realistic timing.

Metal Halide and then T5. Nothing can beat them.

this is the way
(+ blue led strips for pop)
