People used to import rhizo all the time and call them duncans or dendros or anything they could. I bought this as a bowerbanki but I know that doesn't mean it is.

2-3 inches easy.

I agree, after research there have been no other specimen discovered outside of coastal Oman waters. Technically I suppose this should best be filed under undecribed Acanthastea sp.
