Acan coral help

Hi fellow reefers! My acan coral is struggling. I have it on an island mounted vertically and the bottom of the coral seems to be receding.

About a week ago I noticed brown tissue and white skeletal spikes. the brown is not slimy. Now this morning I’m seeing white long tentacle like structures near the edge of where it receded.

I recently moved a scoly out of the crevice you see below in the photo because it was getting too much flow. The acan is turned in from the flow so it’s fairly sheltered.

Is the scan maybe not getting enough light underneath or maybe the scoly stung it?
What can I do to help it because the damage seems to be spreading?!

What are your parameters? What par is it in. My acans are on the side of the tank 75 to 100 par and low flow. I would mount it so it faces up and gets light not horizontal.

I don’t have a par meter but it is the bottom 1/4 of the tank. It’s 24” deep and I have a1 primes at 100% blues

I thought that maybe the problem. My rockscape is weird so I’ve had a hard time finding it a low flow home that is flat and low light. I am upgrading now, I have a Cade 140 coming today so the rocks will be redone.
I will find this guy and new temporary home that will be better. Thanks!

try putting it flat on the sand bed right next to the rock so its slightly shaded

Yea that's not a good spot. Get a nice flat rock and glue it in the middle face up. It will grow into a ball shape.
