Nah, not until you can measure what amount of calcium and alk is being used. LPS won't use that much. A calcium rx would be too much work when you can measure and two part by hand or get a doser. A calc rx can be tough to dial in...

Maybe think about carbon dosing if you want. Biopellet reactor would be good for a new tank though. Just a thought

check where is your acan came from.

many aussie acans came as rainbow color, but it will lose color to 1 or 2 and never came back again.
the possible way to KEEP those acan color is low light condition. 50par or less, blue light.
