I went out to LFS today and got these 2 pieces of “acan” that really caught my eyes. I know lord will have bigger polyp than the micromussa but i have never keep any acan before so i dont have any clue about how big is bigger. The biggest polyps on the 2 pieces of acan are about 1-1.5cm (0.4-0.6 inches) in diameter. If these are acan lord then they are smaller than i expected, if not then i think i might look out for few pieces of acan lord asap XD love the puffiness. And can acan lord and micromussa touch? Thanks!

Acan Lordhowensis was reclassified as Micromussa Lordhowensis. I believe Micromussa Lordhowensis and Micromussa Amakunensis both can touch.

Thanks! Do you have any idea what my acans species is base on the size of polyp? Acan lordhowensis or micromussa amakuensis?

Bigger polyps are Lords, smaller polyps are Amaks.

To me, they look like Lords.

The polyps on my Lords are about 1/2"-3/4" across. What are those ones?

this is outdated. Lords are occur in Eastern Australia and New Caledonia, amakusensis occurs from the Coral Triangle to Japan.
